I am currently a student at Suny Oneonta, where I am earning my bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising and have a minor in Communication Studies. This degree has given me skills in fashion forecasting, textiles, promotion, advertising, fashion journalism, and knowledge of computer software. In Communications I have learned how to work with others and the constructs of all aspects of communication.
In the spring semester of 2024, I will be doing the Disney College Program. During this program, I will learn team-building skills. I will be tasked with working in a fast-paced environment, and discovering how to overcome difficult tasks.
In my senior year of college, my goal is to do a visiting program with the Fashion Institute of Technology where I will earn an associate degree in Textile Development and Marketing. After I gain insight and experience from my program, I wish to get a job in retail or journalism in New York City. I plan to work my first job for a couple of years and adapt to the business.
A further career for me will be working in sustainable textiles and helping create and expand the sustainable fashion industry. I am very passionate about sustainability, and I want to be a part of a team that is dedicated to developing more economically friendly textiles.
